Are a lot of professional sports teams in the South about to go under, bankrupt?
A sports writer for ESPN, I think, said he talked to an NHL executive who predicted 15 teams would go under in the next few years.
I’m betting a lot of them are Southern teams.
I know a lot of teams in the NBA down south are getting hit hard, as well as southern teams in other sports leagues, except perhaps the NFL. That seems to be an exception…maybe.
I definitely can see the Grizzlies going down, as well as the Hornets. The Hawks have never really done well. Didn’t I hear that their games against the Celtics in the playoffs didn’t sell out or something?

Which collegiate award has had the highest correlation to success in the NFL?
This isn’t a trivia question, I’d actually like to know (hopefully you can provide some statistics). The easiest way to measure “success” in the NFL I guess is pro-bowls…maybe how long they lasted (you’ve got to be pretty good to last 8+yrs)…high career stat totals, etc.
I would bet the Heisman isn’t (as lately they seem to very hit or miss in the NFL). While I’d imagine some of the defensive awards might be more predictive (as defenders tend to transition better than offensive players).

I’m in a football challenge. Every week I can pick 5 games & choose what team I want to win based on the point spread from USA Today. I had 3 wins & 2 losses my first week which isn’t exactly a spectacular start but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
